Naumann Trumpets

In 2004, Australian Baroque Brass director John Foster was invited by American Baroque Trumpet Maker Andrew Naumann to consult in the development of a new long model (four hole) baroque trumpet.

The results of this collaboration exceeded all expectations and John Foster now plays exclusive on Naumann Trumpets, as do several members of the Australian Baroque Brass.

The new long model Naumann Trumpet, is available with the option of either a Haas or Ehe style bell (as shown), and plays in the keys of Cb, C, Db, and D.

Please contact us if you require more information about Naumann Trumpets.

Christopher Monk (Jeremy West Model) Cornetto

Christopher Monk was amongst the first to make reconstructions of the cornett (or cornetto), Modeled on a 17th Century original, formerly in the possession of the late Christopher Monk and now the property of the Reid Collection in Edinburgh.

This model is well proven and probably the most generally accepted cornetto of its sort today. The quality and variety of tone reflects the high esteem earned in its hey-day when the curved cornetto claimed pride of place among all wind instruments.

Fingering is much like a treble recorder in G. The resin version is the best selling cornetto in the world, with hundreds of examples to be found anywhere from New Zealand to New York, Canterbury to Chile.

Set of 2 instruments available

1 Cornett hire ~ $80.00 per week
